Trying again after eliminating bad elements in my last post.
Please indulge my call for creative criticism of a piece I am working on. Which is better:
WITH a photo.
Or, WITHOUT.
I desperately need a non-dyslexic proofreading as well.
Any other comments will be gratefully received at my profile addy or in Bitches.
Many thanks!
Firefly W&P reminder: Tonight's episode is "Safe". 5:30pm Board Time (8:30pm EST).
My newest newsletter includes a short essay on what messes up communication, a geeky game night invitation and a copy of the referral card the Buffistas perfected.
The online version is here. I'd be so grateful if you would pass it around!
Also, DCistas, please let your single gamer friends, especially women, know about the Labyrinth event. It's going to be fun! (The shopkeeper is afraid she can't recruit enough gals, not sure why.)
You can find a copy of the event announcement (pdf) here.
Any Buffistas have a small dog who likes to travel? I have a Sherpa bag that I'm willing to give away, and will even pay for shipping, because I like you people, and your little dogs, too.
I've had it since 1999, but it's in great condition. I've only used it once, when I took Lulu down to Miami to meet my dad, back in '99. At 22 lbs. Lulu was just a tad too tall for it. It's better suited to toy-sized dogs.
Profile addy's good.
Pimping for a family member:
The *Media Advocates for Prevention (MAP) *program was chosen as *1 of 4 FINALISTS* in the *HIV OUT LOUD* Video contest sponsored by the *Louisiana HIV/AIDS Program*. The goal of the contest is to raise awareness about the importance of getting tested for HIV in a 30-60 second video geared towards a specific audience. The *MAP Peer Advocates (PAs)* directed their message to other African American youth in the city of New Orleans.
*Media Advocates for Prevention *is a youth development program that integrates media development, community outreach, and peer education to promote HIV risk reduction and testing among youth of color. Prize money from this contest will be put directly back into the program in order to *"Shape Lives, Create Leaders, & Build a Healthier and Wealthier New Orleans"*. To win the contest, we need more views than the other finalists by *Monday February 7th*, so please take a moment to help us win by watching "Young.Responsible.Safe" on the HIV411VideoChannel on YouTube by following the link below:

Thanks.
Posting a reminder on behalf of Pete:
Just over a week (& one more payday) remains before preorders close for the Transmet art book. Got yours? [link]
Okay folks, let's do this.
F2F location survey
I'll tally and report on the results on Thursday of next week. (Hey, is that onerous task day? Perfect!)
Dates are usually the hardest part to be sure about, but they haven't really been set so I put what I saw as likely per the posts. It does seem like mid to late June is probably the rough time frame for any of them. I'd suggest we figure out which city has the most interest and then we can go from there on picking a place and a hard date. But I've added a comment box so if you know a certain date is problematic, add that in. Or, you know, any other remarks that might be relevant.
Vote for all! Or any. I tried to set it up so you can also indicate degree of preference. We'll shoot for whatever has the most positive response and the least no-goes.
Reminder: Firefly ReWatch & Post today, 5:30pm Board Time (8:30pm EST). Today's episode will be "Our Mrs. Reynalds".
ETA: Hold that thought, don't know how many will be watching that big sporting event instead.
