I want to torture you. I used to love it, and it's been a long time. I mean, the last time I tortured someone, they didn't even have chainsaws.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

LAistas! We are selling our TV armoire--the piece of furniture which gets the most compliments of anything we own. It's Mission-style, gorgeous wood and has room for a zillion components. The ad says $250, but we would be happy to sell it to a Buffista for $100. [link]

It's the time of year again for the Secret Buffista Gift Exchange! Ok, it's actually about a month earlier. In the hopes of having more time for people (to send multiple things or messages or taunts) and having fewer late gifts, I am starting early.

Anyone interested in exchanging small presents with other Buffistas during the holiday/year-end/solstice/non-religion or culture specific season, Follow this link to join elfster and set up a profile with your preferred email/snail mail and important info: [link]

I am hoping this site will work for us, but if we start to have problems, I will do the matching manually.

Please register at elfster by 10/30. I'll have the site match names and send out notices 11/1. If there are any issues or questions, profile address is good as is IM or FB IM (if I'm on) rlboston 14 without the space.

I know we voted on deadlines and whatnot, I'll look that up and add it here.

P.S. If there is anybody who is still giftless from the 2009 exchange, could you please let me know ASAP. Thanks.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

If you have a second, feel free to click on over to my DH's blog. The traffic is way down this year--and no traffic means no pay for Mr. Scrappy. If a bunch of, say, Buffistas could visit the site every day, why who know what wonderful things could happen! Feel free to send anyone you know who is thinking of buying a news or used car that way as well. [link]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Guess what time it is?? That's right, time to consider throwing in some money to support this here site. As you know, it costs money to maintain the site, but we don't charge anyone to use it. So that's why we ask you to give.

This is the kind of thing you'll hear during pledge drives if you listen to public radio, but it applies equally here: Think about the value you get from this site, and what that's worth to you. Are you on here all day, or do you just pop in when you need a break? Have you made friends, gotten comfort, been entertained? What is that worth to you? Sorry I don't have any totebags to send you, but still.

You can donate via paypal at donations at buffistas dot org, or email the same address if you want my mailing address to send a check.

THANKS.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

SF-istas! Tom Lenk is coming to the Dark Room to perform a one-man show on November 13. Sadly, I will be out of town, but those who won't be may be interested.
