A year and a half ago, I could have eviscerated him with my thoughts. Now I can barely hurt his feelings. Things used to be so much simpler.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We are discussing Prom possibilities in the F2F thread, so if you are considering coming to Prom at all, please come and make your opinion known.

My newest Grist post on flying wind turbines! Yes at least small scale demonstrations have proven that it is possible. A lot of serious people think it is practical and could provide reliable inexpensive electricity. No we don't know for sure, but ought to find out. If you find it interesting, please register with Grist and leave a comment on this post so that Grist will know that people read my stuff.

Thanks Deena. Corrected.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

So, I, um, started a blog: NORA in NOLA.

My roommate, Bonnie, is trying out for Oprah's Your Own Show. She's lost 130 lbs. and gotten fit using her own recipes, some work with a trainer, and a lot of dedication - what she wants now is to help others get fit and healthy. If you're so inclined, please take a look at her video and throw her a vote... [link]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hey y'all -- if you're planning on buying books from Amazon for your summer reading pleasure, check out the ones on this page -- if you buy them, we'll get an extra percentage for board support!

CONTACT SHEET TIME!!!!

If you are even possibly coming to the F2F for any of it please send me the following so I can put them together in an orderly fashion:

  • Board Name
  • RL Name
  • Cell Phone Number
  • Dates Attending/Possibly Attending
  • Means of Transportation
  • Where You Are Staying (hotel y/n)

The contact sheet is more important than EVAH this year as a) we're not a "group" so the hotel will be of no help finding us; b) so many people are local and not staying at the hotel.

Profile addy is good. Pleeeeeease send me the info even if you're certain I have it.

I'm looking for a new roommate!

If you know anyone who's looking for a place to live in NYC let me know. [link]

It's $825 a month for one large room (11x14) in my quiet, sunny, three bedroom apt. It's really a great deal.
