Hi Buffistas! I moved to Belgium just over a month ago. My husband and I are doing well, and our little one is cooking nicely. Three weeks until I am considered full term, and 6 weeks until my April 5th due date! As of today's ultrasound, she weighs in at 5.2 pounds and measures about 16 inches.

I suck at keeping up around here, but if anyone wants to keep tabs on me, I have a blog that I update every few days: An American Mama in Belgium. Today's post has ultrasound pictures!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

SF-istas! Please come see me in my first play in seven years: DeathPlay, presented by the Thunderbird Theatre Group. The Thunderbirds put on hilarious original comedies that are very Buffista-friendly, and I'm excited to be a part of one. You can buy tickets at Brown Paper Tickets. If you act fast, you may be able to snag one of a few $11 tickets by using the code "Punch." Act fast anyway, since Thunderbird shows sell out!

So I just received my shirts from the TeeFury Grab Bag, and one of them is an American Idol "Pants on the Ground" shirt. I don't know if anybody still cares about one's pants being on the ground anymore, but I know that at some point, people here DID care, so does anyone want a men's M shirt?

Punishingly Intricate

My company (we do software dev and project management for the gov't) is hiring like crazy these days. In the upcoming months we'll be hiring new testers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and developers. I know the preference is to hire people to work in our office here in B'more 'burbs (or, possibly, our Iowa office) but they have recently hired people to work remotely so you never know! If you might be interested or know someone who may be, contact me at my profile address.

In other news of What recession?, Chicago Bob's company, Razorfish (ad agency for the internets), is also hiring like crazy right now mostly for their Chicago office but, again, they are hiring more people who work remotely. I don't have info on specific positions but if you or someone you know is in that field, drop me a line!

Drollerie Press is celebrating a slew of new ebook releases on Sunday in our chat at 9PM EST (link will be on the front page at [link] 3 different collections of fairy tales, a serial killer mystery set in Las Vegas, an epic f/f fantasy, a YA fantasy, and an erotic horror novella.

Sales from the mystery, The Eyes Die Last by new author Teri Riggs, will be used to support the Brenda Novak auction in support of juvenile diabetes research, so we'll also be talking about that and everyone who visits the chat and promises to blog about the auction will receive a free copy of the book. Of course, we'll also hold drawings throughout the chat to give away a copy of all the other books.

If you can come, I'd love to see you. It's always great to see my peeps pop in.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I have a new post up at Cocktail Party Physics, a little review of science books for kids:

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

We have been talking about the need to settle on a time/place for this year's East Coast F2F. Many people had evinced interest in pimping their favorite eastern towns, but right now it looks like we only have active pimpers for Philly and NYC. We're trying to get initial research done by the end of this coming weekend so we can vote and move forward starting next week. If you are interested, head over to F2F. (IOW, pimp now, or forever hold your pimp. Which just sounds wrong on so many levels.)

Slacker Secret Santas and ungifted folk. I just posted in Goodbye that I will collect names of those who are on the way to the post office, those who are not able to give, those who haven't received, and those who are willing alternates. My profile addy is good.

Please let me know your "status" by Friday. I will coordinate with Nilly (since she has the master list, but we all know she is insanely busy), and try to get responses out over the weekend.
