A year and a half ago, I could have eviscerated him with my thoughts. Now I can barely hurt his feelings. Things used to be so much simpler.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

There is a peace march and rally in San Francisco on Sunday, January 18. Starts at Justin Herman Plaza (in front of the Ferry Building at the east end of Market Street) and marches to the Civic Center for a 1 pm rally.

I urge Bay Area Buffistas to attend, if you are inclined to believe that going to war in Iraq is a bad idea.

There will be extra BART and MUNI trains and buses running.

If I only had a brain...

There is also a peace march Saturday, according to this link. How confusing.

I may have to seize the cat.

I thought some Buffistas might enjoy this:

World Lysistrata Day

Humorous activism, yay! (What's that, HuYay?)

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Just to confirm (based on many many emails, flyers, posters and other such recruitments received over the last couple weeks), the march is indeed, definitely and absolutely on Saturday the 18th, not Sunday.

A reminder that CBC's Ideas program is playing a radio documentary on Buffy tonight at 9. (It's at nine on all time zones.) There are some excerpts from their interview with Marti Noxon on that link.

CBC broadcasts in RealAudio, from all the Canadian Time Zones, can be found here.

Info for those who are interested in pre-ordering Harry Potter 5:

I am not advocating that you support them (because they are the Evil of the Bookseller's world), but you can reserve a copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix from Borders and you will receive 40% off. It will be available for pick up at midnight+1 on 6/20 from whichever Borders you reserve it at. Just reserve at their information desk.

Kat: Buy.com has it for $16.17 no tax/free shipping. Is it cheaper than that, or you just get it faster?

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

The infamous Firefly article is up.

They're still shaking bugs out of the new "issue," so their may be browser problems for a bit.

OK. Back to work, Victor...
