I'm doing a reading from Will the Vampire People Please Leave the Lobby? on Saturday March 10th at Raleigh Studios in LA.

Actually, I think I'm mostly just the opening band, as well I should be, since the headliner is the mighty Stevie Tuszynski and her wonderful documentary, In Real Life.

If you'd like to come, you need to RSVP because seating is limited.

The tentative title is We Could Be Heroes, with the description specifying that it is for discussion of the TV series and ancillary materials such as web comics.

The thread shall be designated as NAFDA.

Why? Because it's the official 10th anniversary of the original airdate for the show that brought us together. Should we research what various cast and crew have done and where they are now on? Should each Bronzer do a mini-bio update? Will kenickie hawk his graphic novels? Will Closet Buffyholic still be on the ledge studying for a bar exam? Will there be *sparkly tackle hugs*? Will fenric post his list at 4AM Pacific time(7AM EST, 12PM GMT)? Is there any room left on Flossie to celebrate this event? Will the Aquamarine Armband Posse make an appearance with their armbands and horsies up high? Will Cosmic Bob still have titles? Will Narrator still be oh so very WRONG(!)? The Premiere of B-Movie Bastards!

If you are brave and feel like listening to some insanity, the first episode of a podcast that NoiseDesign is involved in is done and up. If you love b-movies, then this is for you. There are three hosts (including, "Evil Roommate," for those who remember him from ND's webcam days) talking about the movies that they love so much. The first episode covers Dead Alive and Return of the Living Dead.

This podcast is a blast to listen to even if you're not a b-movie fan, in my opinion. They've got a great sense of humor and even do a little original podcast b-movie theatre in addition to their reviews. The first one had something to do with gay zombies on parade. Don't ask. But listen.

Howze this for silly?

A friend periodically casts me in his short films. Usually the ones involving political statements...and general goofiness.

In this one, I play a security consultant being quizzed about the Department of Education's hiring practices. I'm in the first and last scenes.

Saturday I went to see Thom Pain (based on nothing), put on by Theater Wit at the Viaduct. The play was written by Will Eno, garnering him a Pulitzer nomination; The New York Times called the play "Samuel Beckett for the Jon Stewart generation". It's seventy minutes of awesome, and I highly recommend it for any Buffista who has twenty bucks and a free evening.

It plays Thursdays through Sundays, but it's only running until April 14.
