I'm doing a reading from Will the Vampire People Please Leave the Lobby? on Saturday March 10th at Raleigh Studios in LA.
Actually, I think I'm mostly just the opening band, as well I should be, since the headliner is the mighty Stevie Tuszynski and her wonderful documentary, In Real Life.
If you'd like to come, you need to RSVP because seating is limited.
To RSVP please send an e-mail to: IRLScreenings@gmail.com and put the letters "LA" in the subject line, as well as the number of people attending.
And it's a lovely way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of BtVS...with us, the nutcases who built a family on and offline due to our common love of the little girl with the sharp stake, dontcha think?
Did I ever tell you you're my Heroes!
Hear Ye Hear Ye
Voting is now closed for the following:
Proposal: That we add a new thread to the TV and Film Discussion Folder specifically dedicated to Heroes.
The tentative title is We Could Be Heroes, with the description specifying that it is for discussion of the TV series and ancillary materials such as web comics.
The thread shall be designated as NAFDA.
And the results are:
Yes - 63 Votes - 72%
No - 14 Votes - 16%
No Preference - 11 Votes - 13%
Total Votes Cast - 88
Errr.... My bad. Please don\'t post in the Heroes thread(sssssss), until we\'ve cleaned it up.
For those Buffistas who wandered here during the Bronze Diaspora...

Spread the word to lost Bronzers to meet at The Bronze Beta - Saturday March 10, 2007
Why? Because it's the official 10th anniversary of the original airdate for the show that brought us together. Should we research what various cast and crew have done and where they are now on? Should each Bronzer do a mini-bio update? Will
kenickie
hawk his graphic novels? Will
Closet Buffyholic
still be on the ledge studying for a bar exam? Will there be *sparkly tackle hugs*? Will

The Premiere of B-Movie Bastards!
If you are brave and feel like listening to some insanity, the first episode of a podcast that NoiseDesign is involved in is done and up. If you love b-movies, then this is for you. There are three hosts (including, "Evil Roommate," for those who remember him from ND's webcam days) talking about the movies that they love so much. The first episode covers
Dead Alive
and
Return of the Living Dead.
The second episode is also up at this feed:
B-Movie Bastards
---
This podcast is a blast to listen to even if you're not a b-movie fan, in my opinion. They've got a great sense of humor and even do a little original podcast b-movie theatre in addition to their reviews. The first one had something to do with gay zombies on parade. Don't ask. But listen.
Howze this for silly?
A friend periodically casts me in his short films. Usually the ones involving political statements...and general goofiness.
In this one, I play a security consultant being quizzed about the Department of Education's hiring practices. I'm in the first and last scenes.
Did I mention the silliness?
Don't say I didn't warn you.
I've posted some discussion prom options in the F2F thread Ginger "F2F 4: Too Much Candy, Never Enough Mojitos." Mar 15, 2007 10:57:07 am PDT. If you're planning to come to Atlanta, please weigh in.
Once more with feeling - Another poll
So that we can make the final decisions about Prom, it's one more question about how many people are coming to Atlanta.
Atlanta F2F Prom
Please respond by midnight PST Sunday.
Don't know if this has been posted anywhere else on B.org but in case it hasn't, and in case it might impact someone we know and love, I'm posting this link here: US pet food recall.
The food that is part of the recall has apparently caused the deaths of a few cats and dogs.
Chicagoistas!
Saturday I went to see Thom Pain (based on nothing), put on by Theater Wit at the Viaduct. The play was written by Will Eno, garnering him a Pulitzer nomination; The New York Times called the play "Samuel Beckett for the Jon Stewart generation". It's seventy minutes of awesome, and I highly recommend it for any Buffista who has twenty bucks and a free evening.
(More reviews at The Chicago Sun-Times or the Chicago Reader.)
It plays Thursdays through Sundays, but it's only running until April 14.
