I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Mostly lurking...

So, we're moving, and we're trying to get rid of stuff. I just listed 40 books on half.com. Here's a link to my store: [link] If you want any of these books, please e-mail me at my profile address, and they're yours for the cost of media mail shipping.

Also, we have a few that didn't have ISBN numbers, so they couldn't be listed. These are up for grabs as well:

Michael Crichton, Three Complete Novels

Terry Pratchet, The Bromeliad

Stephanie Winston's Best Organizing Tips

Future Females: A Critical Anthology, Edited by Marlen S. Barr

White Book: 15 Postcards with Book

I'm backing up Nilly's Firefly reviews site right now, and then I'll be taking it down temporarily. I'll get it back up as soon as I can.

Who? moi??

Tonight the Overnight Walk takes place. This is a 20 mile walk thru the night for suicide awareness. I have had too many friends take their own lives. I really believe that if they had been more aware of what this does to those of us left behind, they might not have done it. Please go to this url and donate any amount.

  • Some random issues of the comic Strangers in Paradise

And, er... no, I think that's it. E-mail thevwbug@gmail.com and they're yours (for the price of shipping)!

Have an on-line book proposal for my book Cooling It! No Hair Shirts Solutions to Global Warming. www.nohairshirts.com

Welcome comments, on content, web site layout and code. (I stole the idea from Allyson of opening with blurbs, and having a tabbed interface.) Is the big yellow fractal sun background overdoing it? Is the layout too dull, too loud? etc...

What is even happening?

The latest edition of Neptune Online is up. In it, Logan Echolls and Veronica Mars discuss two episodes of NBC's The Office: 2:10 - Christmas Party, and 2:11 - Booze Cruise. There's also a Dead Celebrity Round up, a discussion of The CW, and an advice column, too. The articles are in sync with the re-run season, so they're written as though they were for a March publication (but are brand new).

(The Office article was written by me.)

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I've got two fairly large readings in New England in the next couple weeks:

August 9, 2006 The Boston Poetry Slam

The CanTab Lounge
738 Mass. Ave.
Cambridge , MA
7:30 p.m., $3

August 15, 2006 GotPoetry Live

Reflections Cafe
8 Governor Street
(at Wickenden)
Providence , RI
7:30 p.m., $3

And to top it off, the Cambridge reading happens to be on the anniversary of the day Thessaly and I first met. You SO want to be there.
