Voting is now open for the following proposal:
Proposed: Should we add a Veronica Mars thread?
Jim writes: I propose that we have a VM thread. Purely selfishly, I can't keep up with Natter these days, and I want to discuss VM in the kind of depth you only get round here.
Discussion for this proposal starts here.
Voting closes Thursday, August 25, at 6 AM (PST).

For a limited time only, some new-member-of-the-family pics are here.
It turns out I will not be attending Dragon*Con after all. (boo)
I have a reservation at the Courtyard Marriott (three blocks from the venue, on a nice quiet street, according to the ever so pleasant reservation clerk). The room features a king bed and a pullout couch and rents for $94 per night plus tax.
If you, or anyone you know is having trouble finding sleep space, let me know and we can have the name and payment info changed on the reservation.

Industrial Sonic Echo
Founded in 1990, Industrial Sonic Echo is an interactive multimedia installation using sacred geometry, static, and mixed media sculptures transformed into an arsenal of tonal instruments, creating improvised organic orchestrations and enigmatic ritualized performances: sonic spaces encompassing ambient soundscapes to cacophonic industrial tribal jams.
Seren Divine
One eye on craft and the other giving a sly wink to the audience, Seren Divine brings passion to her performancewhether she's reading a series of immaculately constructed cinquains or heady erotica. A former Worcester resident and member of the 1996, 2001, 2002 & 2003 Worcester slam teams, she now resides in Manhattan.
Simone Beaubien
Simone Beaubien makes her home in suburban Massachusetts, working as an EMT and volunteering for the local ultimate disco league. She is proud to co-host the open mic and slam every Wednesday night at the world-famous Cantab Lounge in Boston. Her poetry runs the gamut from sonnets to slam, including themes from feminism to the laws of physics (sometimes in the same poem). She was lucky enough to compete in the National Poetry Slam Championship as a member of the 2001 & 2005 Boston/Cantab Slam Teams, and received the 2002 Best Performance Poet (female) award from the Boston Poetry Awards.
Quinsigamond Village Community Center
The Quinsigamond Village Community Center serves residents of the Quinsigamond Village and helps them to improve their quality of life through participation and volunteering in our numerous programs, empowering people to take action to bring about positive changes in this neighborhood. Their web site is at www.quinsigvillage.com.
Where Your Mouth Is is an organizational member of Worcester Artist Group.
Just to add a bit a bit to Victor's post. Dave (Teacup Guy) is in Industrial Sonic Echo. Please come. We would love to see you there.
