I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Dallas-istas! [And such Teacher-istas as may be at the NSTA meeting in Dallas next week.]

I will be visiting your fair city for the National Science Teacher Association meeting. I'll be there from 3/30 to 4/3. If anyone would be interested in getting together for coffee or something in the evening, that would be great. [Profile addy's good.] I'm not an axe murderer or anything -- just ask Smonster and Amyth.

Who haven't posted here in a while. OK, maybe not the best reference.

But hey, Fred Pete's met me -- and still drops by b.org! Of course, he moved several hundred miles away from me years ago, but it's for job reasons I'm sure.

Oh, wait, Meara's met me several times. And still comes back to NC. Deliberately, even. I'm sure she'll testify that I'm not terribly dangerous, just maybe kinda dull. Right? Right?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Cleaning out our closet, I found that I still have 2 complete Farscape: Peacekeeper Wars gift bags. These include t-shirts, comms, PK ident cards, "Farscape Fan" sign, Aeryn & John baby shower invitations, and tons of cards/bookmarks/etc.

They are free to the first 2 people who want them.

[eta: aaaaaaaaaand, they're gone! That was quick!]

A fellow makes himself conspicuous when he throws soft-boiled eggs at the electric fan.

Hey, I'm looking for someone to set up a wiki for me (on my server) as a work project (in other words, paid work). Preference given to someone who's set one up before, but that's not essential ... email me at my profile addy if you're interested!

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

At long last, there's all kinds of new content on the redesigned VictorInfante.com [link] now the most complete resource for Victor D. Infante's writing this side of my mother's living room.

Big thanks to Thessaly for the redesign. I'm updating it myself, though, so whatever goes wrong with it is probably my fault.

Come. Visit the site. Tell me what you think.

Our wings are not tired

F2F 2005 Info

Discussion is in the F2F Thread

Okay, running the numbers again on the F2F 2005 and here's where we are at.

Main fund: $735 (Minus some paypal fees)

Travel Fund: $40

We are about 6 and a half weeks away from the event and we're still pretty short on cash. I've also had a few folks ask about money from the travel fund.

Beyond this we're racing up on the cutoff date for meeting our minimum number of hotel rooms. I believe that date is April 20th, so we're just under three weeks until that. I'm sure Kristin will post totals of where we are at with room resevations soon, but I don't think we're anywhere near the occupancy that we need to me.

I'm not intending to cry wolf quite yet, but just encouraging folks that if you tend to procrastinate, please don't.
