Huh. Apparently, Joss will in fact be at a party in LA on Sunday as part of a Kerry fundraiser, as well.
Cost will be $50.00, and they're working out the details as we speak.
And I told Mike (the assistant to the Whedon shaped man) that if that all changes, I'm giving his cell number out to all of you so you can complain to him. hee.
Watch this space for details, LAistas.
I've signed up to hold the Joss Whedon call fundraiser at my house... and sent email out to the Somervillains. Should there be any Buffistas who aren't on that list, and interested in coming and/or making a donation, please get in touch with me via my board address here.
Herc and I are hosting the LA High Stakes Party and have the ear of the main oraganizers. If anyone has questions, please email me and I will get you answers. Yes, Joss is coming and Amy Acker and J. August Richards have also been confirmed.
The local parties are asking for a minimum donation of $35. It's $50 only at the LA venue.

Regardless of your political leanings, I thought a lot of US citizens might want this informtion. I'd posted it to Natter, and it was suggested to me that it might belong here. So...here you go.
For those people who are getting too much info about the Presidential race and not enough about the people who really
do
make a difference in your local community, this: [link] is a great site for just getting basic info about your local candidates. All you need is your complete nine-digit zip code (xxxxx-xxxx) to get who is in office and who is running. Be patient. It takes it a good long while sometimes to retrieve the info, but it's worth it.
Electoral college aside, your vote really does count.
There are going to be a lot of lawyers out there trying to protect your right to vote. But lawyers alone can't do it; this is a political issue - not just a legal issue
