Regardless of your political leanings, I thought a lot of US citizens might want this informtion. I'd posted it to Natter, and it was suggested to me that it might belong here. So...here you go.
For those people who are getting too much info about the Presidential race and not enough about the people who really do make a difference in your local community,this: [link] is a great site for just getting basic info about your local candidates. All you need is your complete nine-digit zip code (xxxxx-xxxx) to get who is in office and who is running. Be patient. It takes it a good long while sometimes to retrieve the info, but it's worth it.
Electoral college aside, your vote really does count.
There are going to be a lot of lawyers out there trying to protect your right to vote. But lawyers alone can't do it; this is a political issue - not just a legal issue
