What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

(Sorry for the thread-spam. Here's where this belongs.)

Today's IMDb poll is relevant and interesting. And saddening.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

The company that has my contract is looking for a Marketing Account Coordinator. You wouldn't be working with me (which could be considered a plus or a minus, depending), but you would be working with the more fiscally secure part of the company. The company is in Cary, NC. They're looking for a candidate with a couple of years ad agency experience, strong writing skills, the usual software packages, etc. If you would like more info, please contact me at my profile addy.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Appears to be Joss' 40th birthday, if IMdB is keerect.

Happy birthday Joss!

My boyfriend's company is hiring. If any Buffistas in the L.A. area have tech skillz (or other skillz) and want or need a job, take a gander:

If you get hired, tell them A~n~d~r~e~w A~r~r~o~w sent you. He gets $500 or something. :)

Thanks, and sorry for the employment spam.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Has it already been announced here that SMG is going to be at San Diego Comic Con next month?

'Cuz apparently, she is.

Oh, and one of my co-workers, who apparently knows someone involved in organizing, told me "The Elf" is supposed to be there. But I haven't been able to substantiate that one yet. (Live in hope...)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I doubt this will be of immediate concern to anyone, but Cafepress has decided that our logo "may require licensing by the creator of Buffy the Vampire prior to their use for the sale of merchandise," and has therefore suspended the sale of items with the Buffista logo on it.

I have contacted the Image Verification department, and will hopefully have this cleared up as soon as possible.

"...Singing their heads off, protected by the holy ghosts, flying in from the ocean, driving with their eyes closed." - Patty Griffin "Florida"

Buffistas in NC's Triangle area will have a chance opportunity to see Amber Benson's movie "Chance" at Trinoc*coN July 23-25. Info here.

(Just noticed yesterday myself, apologies if this has been posted.)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am afraid I have to semi-cancel brunch on Saturday the 10th, because of work constraints. Instead of having one at my place, I am going to organize one out somewhere. For those who want to meet up with Raquel (and who in their right mind would not), check here for more details in a few days.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

It's July, the time is fast approaching and it's been awhile since I posted on of these, so here goes:
