F2F 2005 DATES
I'm a bit later posting this than I planned, but I got caught in tech. We have chosen the dates for the F2F for next year:
May 20-22 (Prom on Saturday the 21st)
We are now discussing cities in the F2F thread, please come and join us. The only limitation on cities at the moment is that we're doing Central this year, so in the middle of the continent this time. We'll narrow it down to 4 possible cities by July 15th.
For the Buffista LiveJournal people -- there's an evil password-harvesting virus going around. If you see a post from a friend that is titled "interesting" with a link inside that says "this is interesting" DO NOT CLICK. Especially evil because you may see it in the journals of two or three friends in a row, so you think 'they're smart and would never link to something evil'. If you click, it will harvest your password and make that entry and you will be prevented for at least a little while from correcting it.
Actually, that meme doesn't do anything with your password. It only posts a message using the cookies your browser identifies, but it offers no threat to the livejournaller herself. The staff have squashed it, anyhow.
Attention all! The
Midwesterners
are having a barbeque, Saturday June 19 at 2 PM in Lincoln Park! Everyone who is in the area and would like to join us is cordially invited. All we ask is a small donation of ten bucks to cover the cost of food and beverages, and your own sweet self in attendance. For more info, please contact the Midwesterners list or myself at my profile addy. Thanks!
Angel episode 519 - "Time Bomb" is now up in HTML. Ben Edlund action!
(Please follow the directions on the site for password information.)
Hey Chicagoistas! The lovely and talented

Whedonesque says that the Angel Soundtrack cd has been greenlighted. More info at City of Angel.

And on a completely different topic...
Chicago-istas Cookout
Saturday 2pm, June 19, Lincoln Park between Lawrence and Foster (just a little north of Montrose-Wilson Beach). If you take either the Lawrence or Foster exit off Lake Shore Drive and head toward the lake there is a drive that loops along the lakefront trails with parking spots the whole way. There are benches scattered along the trail and if we snag one about halfway between Lawrence and Foster we might have some decent shade. Just look for a pink flamingo mylar balloon (or some other obnoxious brightly colored balloon) to the west of the parking lot/drive. If you are taking the train, the red line Argyle stop will be your best bet. Just head east on Argyle and cross Marine Dr, etc and there will be a pedestrian tunnel under LSD.
I still recommend bringing blankets and/or whatever kind of chair you will be comfortable in. SA is collecting the $ for food, so contact her if you still need to do that.
Need more information? Contact me at my profile addy.
Looking forward to seeing you!
