NYistas! I'll be in Manhattan June 5 and 6, and I'd love to see as many of you as possible. Dinner and such on Saturday night, maybe? I'll send something to the NYista list so planning can begin.

Official Announcement of Class Protector Medals for 2004
Medals were handed out for those people in attendance at the F2F Prom this year. The others will be mailed out within the next couple weeks. (Except I think Nilly will get hers in person in LA, and Tim will probably get his then as well.)
If you look at the Prom pictures you can see Lee, ND, Java Cat and Tom Scola wearing theirs. The women receive a beautiful choker with the Class Protector Medal - created this year by Deena, and the men receive ribboned medals which Raquel created this year.
Coding for the board: - Rob, Paul, Tom Scola, Tommyrot
Save Firefly campaign - Kristen, Kiba Rika (promised last year, so overdue, but never forgotten)
Point Person for organizing this year's F2F - Java Cat
Meijaville - Jeff Mejia
Nillytown - Nilly
For bringing Nilly to be loved on in person - Tim Minear
Deathmatch Overseer - Elena
Footing the bill for the hospitality suite two years running - ND
Generously sponsoring several other Buffistas to prom - Lee
Congratulations to our Class Protectors! We are so grateful for your contributions to our community.

Right now, it seems that the front-runner date is July 31-August 1 weekend, so that's what we're going for. If you are interested in attending, please drop me an email (profile addy good) so I can get an idea of how many people might be descending on my place.
House is accessible by car, by plane (Hartford airport, code=BDL) or train (Amtrak, New London or Old Saybrook station). Pick-ups can be arranged.
We now return you to your normally scheduled Press, already in progress.
As the New England summer gathering develops, I have modified my previous post with more details.
Please let me know ASAP if you plan to come. When we get a little closer, I will also ask for transpo info/cell phone numbers so I can figure out who needs to be picked up and if you plan to camp out or to grab a bed/couch/piece of floor.
It sounds like we're going to have quite a few people! Whee!
Jeph Loeb has confirmed that animated Buffy is go.
I put up a small album of the pictures I took (with the teeny underpowered camera in my PDA) at the National Zoo last Saturday:
Amazon sent, and charged me for, two copies of Buffy S6 DVDs. Before I go to the trouble of sending one back, does anyone, especially anyone in LA, want to buy one of them from me?
Let me know at my profile address.
Angel series final episode 522 - "Not Fade Away" is now up in HTML. Written by Bell & Whedon.

Summer New England Mini F2F Dates are Set!
We have this big party every year, but this year it will be extra special since a bevy of Buffistas will be coming. Dave and I call it the Wild Rumpus, and yes, it's named after Where the Wild Things Are.
Main party will be Saturday, July 31, from afternoon into late night or overnight. At the party there will be tons of cook-out food (it would be great--money allowing, of course--if you could bring some small side dish or dessert or beverage or alcoholic treat if you decide to join us), volleyball, badmitten, bocci ball, frisbee, croquet, drinking, snogging, music, a big fire, and the culminating event: our big-screen movie viewing in the front yard.
This year's movie will be Ghostbusters just 'cause it rocks. Last year we did Raiders of the Lost Arc complete with tiki torchs. The tiki torches will be back by popular demand. Unfortunately, the mosquitoes will also be back, so the tikis will be citronella, and bug spray will be available. if it rains...well, we'll improvise and still have a blast.
Early arrivers and late stayers are welcome (I'm on vacation, so I love having company!), but I need to know as soon as possible who will be staying and for how long so I can figure out sleeping arrangements. Friday and Sunday will likely be Southestern CT touristy opportunities: aquarium, seaport, lake/beach swimming, shopping, etc. So....
I'll request more specific info from you when we get closer if you plan to come.
I know this is a ways off still, so no worries if you don't know yet. I will bookmark this post and Nilly it when we're closer. The beds will go on a first come/first serve basis, though, so do please let me know when you can.
Hope you can join us! RSVP by July 10, please.
Let the Wild Rumpus start!
