You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

As the New England summer gathering develops, I have modified my previous post with more details.

Please let me know ASAP if you plan to come. When we get a little closer, I will also ask for transpo info/cell phone numbers so I can figure out who needs to be picked up and if you plan to camp out or to grab a bed/couch/piece of floor.

It sounds like we're going to have quite a few people! Whee!

I put up a small album of the pictures I took (with the teeny underpowered camera in my PDA) at the National Zoo last Saturday:

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Amazon sent, and charged me for, two copies of Buffy S6 DVDs. Before I go to the trouble of sending one back, does anyone, especially anyone in LA, want to buy one of them from me?

Let me know at my profile address.

Summer New England Mini F2F Dates are Set!

We have this big party every year, but this year it will be extra special since a bevy of Buffistas will be coming. Dave and I call it the Wild Rumpus, and yes, it's named after Where the Wild Things Are.

Main party will be Saturday, July 31, from afternoon into late night or overnight. At the party there will be tons of cook-out food (it would be great--money allowing, of course--if you could bring some small side dish or dessert or beverage or alcoholic treat if you decide to join us), volleyball, badmitten, bocci ball, frisbee, croquet, drinking, snogging, music, a big fire, and the culminating event: our big-screen movie viewing in the front yard.

This year's movie will be Ghostbusters just 'cause it rocks. Last year we did Raiders of the Lost Arc complete with tiki torchs. The tiki torches will be back by popular demand. Unfortunately, the mosquitoes will also be back, so the tikis will be citronella, and bug spray will be available. if it rains...well, we'll improvise and still have a blast.

Early arrivers and late stayers are welcome (I'm on vacation, so I love having company!), but I need to know as soon as possible who will be staying and for how long so I can figure out sleeping arrangements. Friday and Sunday will likely be Southestern CT touristy opportunities: aquarium, seaport, lake/beach swimming, shopping, etc. So....

I'll request more specific info from you when we get closer if you plan to come.

I know this is a ways off still, so no worries if you don't know yet. I will bookmark this post and Nilly it when we're closer. The beds will go on a first come/first serve basis, though, so do please let me know when you can.

Hope you can join us! RSVP by July 10, please.

Let the Wild Rumpus start!

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Okay, here's something neat. Joe Boucher wrote a Mutant Enemy-tribute crossword puzzle for the Angel finale. You can find it here:

So Long, Gordon Abrams

There are both interactive and printable versions of the puzzle.

The poll will close on Friday.

(This is just a poll. The results will not necessarily govern the final decision. Discuss in F2F thread.)

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Calling Buffista Brides and Grooms

Shortly before my wedding, our own beloved Cindy Xanderella we support in email Topic!Cindy sent me a lovely little packet of bridal goodies including a lucky silver sixpence. Having served its purpose, it is now ready to be sent on its way. If you, o prospective Buffista bride or groom, would like the demi-official Buffista sixpence for your shoe, now fully charged with the -ma and good wishes of not one but two Buffistas, let me know. Profile addy good.

(If you're not getting wed for a bit yet, ping me anyway and I'll make sure the next person in line gets your info and passes the Buffista sixpence and all its -ma along.)

I also have a bunch of other weddingish items slounging around the house, ranging from ceremony-planning guidebooks to Stepparenting for Dummies to an only slightly used and still in excellent shape Polaroid camera to a carefully-culled selection of bridal magazines containing actually useful, practical, creative ideas instead of Bridezilla crazytalk. Any and all are available, and if you're looking for something that I haven't mentioned, chances are it's lying around here someplace and I just forgot to mention it.
