Birth, death, illness, new job, vacation...if it's happening to you and you want us to know about it, post it here. These threads are intended for announcements only. Want to offer sympathy or congratulations, or talk about anything? Take it to Natter. Any natter here will be deleted.
General announcement on behalf of Hec, who is very lonely:
His computer is being evil like an evil thing, he can't get online at all (including no email and no AIM), and he doesn't know how soon all will be mended. Please vibe computer healthma in a westerly direction.
However, this does mean that if you are pining for Hec and have his phone number, you can call him and there's a small but measurable chance that he will actually
answer the phone.
Which will be new and strange, but in a nice way.
The Phoenix has arisen! And...
baby boy Wolfram was born this morning. Mother and baby are doing well. I'm going grey for a little bit but I'll be in and out.
This isn't very apocalypsy, but Rio can't get in (yet) and wants me to tell you all how wistful and nose-pressed-to-the-glass she is waiting to come back here.
OH WAIT I SHOULD HAVE POSTED THAT ALL IN ASSCAPS, RIGHT?
please send good health vibes to the northeast My SIL is expecting -- only six or seven months along ( BIL is saying very little because they lost the first baby) SIL is on totlabedrest because the doctor fears an early delivery.
I posted this in bitches, but here's for you lovely non-bitchy types:
I just bought a ticket to Oregon, I'll be there from July 25th to Aug 2nd. Any west coast-istas interested in getting together, email me at profile addy.
Okay, after a reinstall, I'm back up. For the time being anyway - so nobody jump up and down and mess with my connection.
Also, there's a chance I might get an interview for a job which would be a near perfect fit for me. So all the jobma you can spare right now, please aim it at San Francisco.
I'm mentioned this in PF, but what the heck. I have a new job as of August 4.
Ah, here we are again.
Since last we spoke, I've moved (to Western MA) and gotten a job (customer service, natch--that Wesleyan diploma sure is handy!). Woohoo! The apartment is lovely, though the town stinks of cowshit rather a lot at the moment, and the job is, um, well, it's a job. Also, my internet access is infrequent as usual, so I shall continue to be my dim shade of grey. Love to you all, and especially showers of praise to ita!
