I've been hoarding a shard of job-ma for lo these many months, but I can now release it to other Buffistas. I have a contract, and it's a good one! I start work on Monday!
If the Apocalypse Comes, Beep Me
Birth, death, illness, new job, vacation...if it's happening to you and you want us to know about it, post it here. These threads are intended for announcements only. Want to offer sympathy or congratulations, or talk about anything? Take it to Natter. Any natter here will be deleted.
I'm off to the optometrist to try to figure out why my focus keeps getting worse. If he can't figure out an answer, I'm going to press for an urgent opthalmogist rec.
Eye-ma, please.
So apparently the eyes aren't any worse than they were Wednesday, and there's no need to see an opthalmogist because there's no sign of anything medically wrong.
::releasing eye-ma, somewhat embarrassed::
If anyone in the Burbank area knows of a decent place to live that doesn't mind cats and has at least a little green--not on a main street if at all possible--email would be appreciated. Otherwise I'm starting my Westside Rentals search tonight. I have less than a month to find a new home and move.
I need some it will be all right ~ma for me and the Dread Beastie cat, please.
Dread Beastie cat passed away last night.
KCistas (Quester and Erin as far as I know). I might be able to set you up with a free computer if you need one. Celeron 400MHz, so nothing fancy, but if you need one e-mail my profile address and I'll see if I can get one.
Wilma pictures and commentary may be found here. [link]
I was particularly amused that before the storm my roof was mildewed and in need of a good pressure cleaning. After the storm all shiny white. The sustained winds in my city were 90ish with gusts to about 120. I should have taken more pictures, but I was caught up in the drama at the time.
Enjoy.
DCista, Ginger is in town. dinner is planned for tomorrow (Monday). Discussion in F2F
I'm home. Not sure how much I'll be around the next bit. Thanks everyone for the strength and love. It helped knowing it was there.
