Deferred MRI good-wishes my way in the morning, if you have any to spare.
I managed to get the bare minimum grade in complexity, and thus will not be sharing my computer-science-theory angst ever again (knock on wood).
You're welcome.
Since it appears to be news day...I just got my letter of admission to UMass Boston. I start school on January 26, 2004.
I shall be in San Francisco for work the first week of January! (The 2nd to the 9th, with an extra day and a half of free time at the end!) It's one of our division's Winter Sales Conference, and I'll be expected to work some long days, but it's in S.F. and at the Ritz-Carlton, so at least I shall be suffering in a bit of luxury!
I hope I can work out plans to see much of my San Francisco friends!
I didn't get the ABC-Disney Writing Fellowship, but by god, this year I learned how to deal with rejection and loss. Which is useful. :)
I'm heading home from work for the day and probably won't be back online before we leave for Christmas. I'll be back around the 28th briefly, and then I'm in London, baby! the 2nd - 16th. As always, in the totally unlikely event that someone needs to get in touch with me, e-mail is the way to go. Or just ask shrift, since we are the same person.
I need any spareable car-ma, please, dear Buffistas. My lovely Volvo refused to start this morning. Odds are it's the distributor or something else related to the electrical system. Won't know for sure until Monday. The real -ma I need is for cheapness of repairs, as we really can't spare much right now. And some calmness and peace to me and the DH would be lovely, especially him, as he's still reporting feeling a bit numb about it all a few hours later.
Also requesting car-ma, please. My Mazda 626 overheated on I-85 this morning, and wouldn't start again after having it towed to the dealer. Have been waiting all afternoon and haven't heard back from the service dept. on what caused the problem.
We can get our car back. It works. The mechanic started it up with no problems. He ran a check on what could have gone wrong, and nothing was amiss. He said to buy a new battery if it happens again. I think we may do so as a preemptive measure.
Man, if the Buffista -ma works that well, I really need to ask y'all to help get my husband a new job with a bit more frequency.
