Can't even shout, Can't even cry. The Gentlemen are coming by. Looking in windows, knocking on doors. They need to take seven, and they might take yours. Can't call to mom, can't say a word. You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My LA interview is being rescheduled. I'll try to angle for the following weekend (Nov. 16th) but anybody holding their calendar or planning around it (Ple!) should hold off until I get the new date nailed down.

I'll be dark for the next three days as I take the "kids" to a dog agility contest in Pleasanton, CA.

Thanks for all the fish.

I'm going to be dark for the next two weeks while I am visiting family in Toronto. I trust that the other Haligonistas will take care of the CVR and all taunting duties whilst I am gone.

I'll probably not even be checking e-mail, so if you send me a message I'm not ignoring you. Probably.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

WOO HOO! I passed the first part of the 2 standardized tests I need to finish my secondary teaching credential. Now, I have one more part to pass and the class I'm taking.

Lurker since 1999-quiet but shallow

Good Buffista thoughts and energy for my daughter Emily, please. She is a college freshman, 2,000+ miles away from home and in the hospital. They aren't sure what is wrong with her, except abdominal pain and severe dehydration and subsequent kidney problems. I will fly to Albuquerque (any New Mexico Buffista's out there???) tomorrow to advocate for her at the hospital and the college.

As an aside, the school , College of Santa Fe, has had "the worst fall I've seen in 25 years of college administration"according to the dean of students- illnesses, emotional breakdowns, one death. Administrators and students alike are really freaked right now. Any other universities experiencing a spike in incidents like that?

Thank you to all the lovely Buffistas.

Average everyday sane/psycho supergoddess

I am going dark. I just need to delete my MSN Messenger from my work PC, and then I will be packing up my car and leaving. So I don't know when I will be back on for a while. I will be back, though! So expect drive-bys!

Sniff. Bye, desk. Bye, computer. Bye, bookcase. Hello, unemployement!

Oh, SHIT. I'm unemployed.

Heading to San Francisco! Don't know how much I'll be online (though I'm sure I'll go into withdrawal and find a computer SOMEWHERE), so I'll see y'all next weekend!!

You sip / say it's your crazy / straw say it's you're crazy / as you bicycle your soul / with beauty in your basket

Am taking the PSATs in an hour, as you may have known from previous groaning. Vibe me for the math sections for remembering the difference between negative and positive numbers; and for not arguing with the verbal sections over style.
