'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

shrift:

If I could open my eyes all the way, I'd glare at you menacingly, but for now I'll just have to settle for a vaguely malevolent squint.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

In Bureau

ita: Fiat! Fiat! Fiat!

Frankenbuddha: Fix it again, Tony?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Cashmere: I'm sadly lacking an entourage. But I have mini M&M's.

aurelia: Imagine the power walk.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

After newcomer Eddie comments on the dedication in Bureaucracy, Cindy sums up the problem:

Topic!Cindy:

Hi, Eddie. We were just discussing this at the beginning of the month: msbelle "Bureaucracy 3: Oh, so now you want to be part of the SOLUTION?" Apr 5, 2005 6:40:58 am PDT

It sort of ended here: JohnSweden "Bureaucracy 3: Oh, so now you want to be part of the SOLUTION?" Apr 7, 2005 12:15:14 pm PDT

To sum it up:

Change is needed.

Change is good.

Change is evil.

Change should be avoided at all cost.

We could change it to this.

Changing it to this totally ignores that.

Oh. No, I hate that.

Yeah, but I hate this, even worse.

Canadians spell funny.

Jilli-style (in a nutshell) : I look like I escaped from a Tim Burton movie, so I'm quite pleased.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

From the Firefly thread, white-fonted for very vague trailer spoilers:

Matt the bruins fan: Losing the vests is bad enough, but once you've given up dress shirts for sweatsuits, there's nothing left but to begin devouring human flesh and picking fights in the press with Christina Aguillera.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Gud's building his kids a spaceship in the backyard.

Gudanov: I just ordered 30 toggle switches.

DavidS: Tachyon Flow! (Forward / Reverse)
Phlebotinum Generator!
Dilithium Crystals (Yes/No)
Polarity (Reverse/Converse)
Improbability Drive
Starburst
Interstellar Overdrive
Shields (Up/Down)
Docking Web
Plasma Torpedoes
Crazy Ivan

tommyrot:

Flux Capacitor
Extra Flux for Flux Capacitor
Extra capacitance for Flux Capacitor
Emergency Override
Level 3 Diagnostic

Gundanov: Yeah, I'll have a lot of labels to make.

NoiseDesign: Hook those up to a little PLC and you can have a load of fun. Man, I almost want to come out just to hook that up to a bunch of lights and motors. Different combos of switches to make different things happen. Hook some flood lights up in the rocket pods so that when you turn on the thrusters they light up...um...perhaps I need to get out more often.

JZ: I vote we have the 2006 F2F in Gud's backyard, because once that spaceship is done his backyard will without question be the single coolest location in the country. If you add an espresso bar and a corset boutique, make that the entire continent.

In Natter. It's just such a crisp, matter-of-fact exchange...

Jessica: Ewwww. Maybe I'll just have my head frozen.

Kat: Brain in a jar?

Jessica: Robot body.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Jessica, re: Robot Body

Plus, I could have flamethrowers for hands if I wanted to.

Truly, it will be a golden age.

Hil R.: My religion has given me far more questions than answers.

Allyson: Judaism is the JJ Abrams of religions.
