Michele T., in PPO:
t orchestral music begins
[We focus in on SHRIFT, sitting, bent over with toil, at a computer desk. She has a hat on her head and a look of unspeakable sorrow in her heart.]
[The computer dings]
SHRIFT (blearily): Wha --- ?
COMPUTER (tinnily): You have HoYay!
[Come in closer to SHRIFT, clicking on her screen. Slowly she begins to smile. The orchestral music grows louder and triumphant.]
SHRIFT: HoYay!
[SHRIFT jumps out of her chair, pulls off her hat, and throws it in to the air. As the music turns into a celebratory waltz, she dances around the room, spinning and laughing.]
[FADE OUT]
Ah. The magic of the movies.
In Natter, Daniel C. Jensen:
Some Buffistas have found their bonobo.
Hope this hasn't already been posted since I'm catching up in threads. Michele T in BBaB:

Once more into the natter breach, dear friends. Blah blah nattercakes spoilerfree blah (Subscribe)
Who knew BaBB was so funny,
Noumenon:
I also like "Squelch Noisy User Filter." Table Talk had "Evade Noisy User Filter," but I wanna SNUF porn, never ENUF porn.
amch in Bitches, speaking of troublemaking in the teenage years
Sis was a natural, effortless and even artistic troublemaker -- she ran with a bad crowd as perfectly and heartstoppingly as Willie Mays ran for long line drives.
OK, THAT one I'm stealing.
thessaly, in Literary (context? Who... oh, okay then. We were doing this whole Disc/LotR x-over thing. The 'pretty contest' is vs. Cheery):
The Elves in Discworld have the whole pretty-but-evil reputation so Legolas, transported through the Trousers of Time with Extra Quantum, wins the pretty contest and attempts to take over the Dancing Men...but Sam Vimes'll kill him if he tries anything.
billytea, in Bitches:
Conversation from my NYD party:
"I tried helium for the first time the other day."
"Well, that should be enough to get you kicked out of the army."
"I don't know about that, helium is after all an inert gas."
"A noble gas, even."
"Yeah, not like hydrogen, the skank hos of the periodic
table. One electron and they're anybody's."

Beaurocracy
I think we should have a "Powederkeg" thread, lined with explosives, computer virus broadcasters and bitter, drunk mimes. I think it would add some spice.
(It was the bitter, drunk mimes that sold it to me)
