I've been known to do that. Never have. Possibly because all my stuff is on ff.n, and nobody bothers to wade through. But then, I do ego searchs on my real and pen names about once a week.

God, now I'm trolling rec pages, looking for myself.

You could get a long way running a 'we hunt for people who've recced you' service for fic writers.
