But did the enablers listen? No, they didn't

They never do. It's all "Oh, that sounds so cool, you have to do it!" Like that's at all helpful.

Always Anti-fascist!

No, it's not.Incredibly exciting, maybe, but helpful? No.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Helpful how?

Just write the thing, and see where it goes.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

How about that? I'm sitting here procrastinating doing that very same thing.

I don't know...when you write yourself into something and get stuck.

Stuck. Yes. Like you're a couple of hundred pages into something and you suddenly realize you don't know how the thing should end. I hate endings. Everything's got to meet up and resolve and make sense.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

How about that? I'm sitting here procrastinating doing that very same thing.

Huh. How 'bout that. Does three of us make a meme?

I think there's something toxic in the air.

I love endings. I know how everything I'm working on in fandom ends, even if I didn't when I started. It's getting there that's the hard part.

I write in remembered snippets of other people's lives, and am exceedingly non-linear.

This is a blessing and a curse.

I started with zero plan other than that Munch was not going to spot Darla for a vamp because a. She played into his most cherished fantasy. b. He thinks with his little head a lot. That was it.

Quite possibly. Got another piece of Nihilist Chic done, and posted over at my livejournal.

I suspect I'll have to gover all of these recent sections and clean them up, but frankly, I've gone way off my outline here. I like where it's gone, but I can't account for where it came from.

I'm feeling kind of emeshed in it, and may well try to knock out another section tonight, at least.

Well, I managed to get about five pages done on asskicking novel, and I love them with a muchness, but I realised they ought to open Chapter 11, not close Chapter 10. So now I have to close Chapter Ten.

Bother.

Anyway, here's light silly fic for the weekend drabble. Theme this week are seven deadly sins, or the virtues.

Gluttony

"Aren't you going to stake him?"

Kennedy's voice held surprise. They'd been chasing this vampire for nearly a week. He'd left a trail of empty jugulars; they'd got to his most recent feed while the man was still barely alive. He'd had enough strength to whisper a surprising secret into Buffy's ear.

"Soon." Buffy stopped, a prudent distance behind. "Watch."

The vampire, staggering, suddenly fell. He rolled over, face blue, tongue protruding. Buffy approached, and bent over him.

"That last guy was a warlock," she told him, and lifted her stake. "Also a suicide. You should have stopped eating earlier."
