Well, I'm assuming in this version of Jossverse, we still have Spike being Spike?

I was thinking along the lines of Spike realising what's going on, letting Buffy know, and Buffy finding a way to use Xander and Dawn without their knowledge. Then the destruction of Sunnydale could proceed along whatever path you like, with Xander-Dawn realising they've been used and set up and maybe getting out just in time?

Because I love the idea of ruthless!Buffy, but I also like the idea of vamped Dawnie sulking in Europe with Xander: "She set me up! My OWN SISTER! Sob! GETOUTGETOUTGETOUT!"

Ooh, Spike. Good thought. He was initially supposed to have been Xander's sire, but the timelines didn't work out and I kinda forgot about him.

I'll try on a few different possibilities and see what ending works for me. Thank you for the suggestion.

Shrift, if no one else is up for it, I'll go back and put the Band Candy thing together; it's just that I'm a technomoron to start with, and as I say, Tgiving and then book tour commencing, plus medicals. So, time thing.

And re the "but I didn't write Lestat!" thing? I'd say just what you typed. "Wow, that piece sounds interesting, but as it happens, I didn't write it..."
