Heh. That's a neat little vignette, Connie.
One question. This:
Wesley frowned at him, but refrained from smacking his boss' fingers with the chopsticks he was trying to eat his moo goo gai pan with before Angel got it all.
Do you need the second mention of the moo goo pai gan? I sort of think it stumbles a bit there. I'd suggest "Wesley frowned at him, but refrained from smacking his boss' fingers with the chopsticks. ""Really, Angel..."
Heck, I just like the sound of it.
Moo goo gai pan. It's just fun.
I wish I could remember what's actually in it.
Angel eats chinese food? I think he should be stealing bits to feed to a cat. Of course, that could be my plot bunny talking.
I do like that a lot, Connie.
egg roll:
Moo Goo Gai Pan ingredients: chicken breast, chicken broth, water chestnuts, fresh pea pods, mushrooms, green onions, ginger root, cornstarch, oil, honey, soy sauce
Fun name, blandest dish ever.
(And I love the story.)
Now I want some mu shiu pork. If that's the one with the nifty littlle pancakes...
It is. And I loves me some moo shu.
(scurrying off to kitchen to pick at leftover Chinese takeaway)
Well, Angel's stealing it because it's Wesley's. I did try to figure out who was getting which dish that Fred was ordering.
