It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Always Anti-fascist!

Who would be more awkward? Him or her?

Him. Totally him.

Because being experienced sexually, he'd have all the doubts creeping in, and doubly enhanced by the candy.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Bayliss looked puzzled. "Ok, so maybe that was a little too much of an intra-Scooby thing...but if it'll make you feel better I was completely freaked when you backtalked me...made me wonder what kind of loose cannon I was dealing with...whether I needed backup, even."

"You're not just saying that." Tim asked.

erika, did you change speaker here? It isn't clear.

Fun, though, aside from that.

Bev, insert a double-line space after "puzzled." erika's software has a thing about the double-space, methinks.

Ah. Okay, that makes sense. Thanks.

Oh, right, we are talking about Tim Bayliss, the Human Conscience...Superego Man. "Is this right? Am I taking advantage? Will she still like me tomorrow? Is it me or is it the candy? I should probably be working. I haven't thought about Adena in three days. Does that make me a bad person? If it does can I live with myself? Can she?" I think if I write that scene my period key is gonna be on a red ball to cope with all the stammering and awkward pauses. ETA: The fact that I can just go into that probably explains my lack of non-virtual proposals.Sixteen pages and counting. Guess y'all are good for my...stamina.

Up with the sun

There's a "Lost in Translation" ficlet in my journal, here. It's based on a random LJ challenge to write a story based on your default icon -- I'm not posting it here because I don't want to spoil the movie for anyone.

I'm back to monopolize the thread again. Mea culpa. And I really had planned to keep T&W platonic, but they wanted "Sarah Mclachlen love" so... As they are sitting together, she putting together some mixture that smells improbably of lavender and not the sulfur he envisioned, Tim is faced with a decision. A decision that would have been a dream come true if he were really seventeen. Whether to "make a move" on a pretty, smart, receptive, redhead. But instead he is forty going on seventeen and doesn't know whether to laugh or cry. "Be careful what you wish for, Timmy," he says, out loud. Such a dork.
"What?"
"Smells nice," he says. "Not at all what I would picture a ritual smelling like...not that I've smelled one, except Mass...boy, would Frank hate that I said that...it's true, though. But I thought witchcraft would smell more unpleasant.
" Thank you. You're the first person that ever made that connection...it's kind of a passion of mine defunkifying spells." He loved the way she said passion.-more-
