Poll: Would any of you be annoyed, even a little bit, by the referring to the vampire minions as "minions" in the text of the story? I wanna use it, and there seems to be a little canonical support, but I'm also worried my head is just colored by the WOFverse.

And Glory's fully down with the "minion"-use. As well as the minion-use. I'm just trying to remember-- has Angel or Darla, in the A:tS S2 flashbacks, called their minionyvamps minions?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
I think minions is used in the general term. Folks not empowered enough to be henchmen. So there's no reason you can't use it.
Now, minon childer -- that's a whole different coinage.
