Giles, if you would like to get by in American society, then you are going to have to follow our traditions. You're the patriarch. You have to host the festivities, or it's all meaningless.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

RL, my only criticism of that section - which is beautifully written - is that it feels to me much more like Willow trying to describe a dream after she wakes up than it does like Willow experiencing a dream. Though now that I think of it maybe that was the intent and I didn't catch it at the beginning.

You sip / say it's your crazy / straw say it's you're crazy / as you bicycle your soul / with beauty in your basket

Nope, this is supposed to be in-dream narration. I'll take that to consideration the next time I work it over.

And thanks.

Connie- or whoever- I'm stuck. I've got to the point where if I go on, I'll have to deal with the bit where Angel has to give Buffy and Spike a room with a double bed in, and then it's all angsty and no longer funny. Go or not go?

Do you want to go angsty? Don't write it if you don't want, but the best comedies always have a little bite in them. Much like life.

Advice given, Am-Chau.

edit: and now to the Bitches to put that in the right thread.

Thanks. I'll try, and see if I can get out of it again.

Oh, and the best angst normally has a little bit of comedy to it!

Just, you know, for what it's worth.

So noted, Plei. Angst + comedy = better angst, comedy + angst = better comedy.

Slash Advent Spike/Xander is up

Part of my insane "oh, sure, I'll see what all I can produce on demand in December" thing.

They don't have anchor tags there, so you have to scroll 3/4 of the way down the page, or just search the page for the words "Fringe Benefits". S7 spoilery.

Heh. Cute. Though the person who designed the page must be shot.
