Heh. I picked a pen name that's just a word, to avoid easy googleability. Yes, I'm that paranoid.

Of course, a few months ago I was researching a slightly obscure military concept, googled for it, and realized that a fanfic of mine was in the top five hits for that phrase. Apparently, it's a really obscure concept.

And my penname (same as my user name here) is really distinctive. Which adds to the googleablity rating, although the original intent was to be memorable.

My pen name, Two Ladies of Quality, occasionally brings up references to Victorian literature.

Dude, my name is the hardest thing to google. Because typing in "s.a." brings back pages in French, a million IRC channels, and Jar-Jar speak. "It'SA Gundam?!" It strips the periods, which makes the searching even more difficult.

I found a couple of places I'd been recced, that I'd not known about or that I'd forgotten about. Which was kind of cool.

I've googled my real name upon occasion, and mostly find people in Germany or a variety of doctors, lawyers, etc.

I have a name twin who runs a Buddhist center in Australia. Also another name twin writes about whether Harry Potter should be read by Christians. I always feel like writing and saying "Stop defaming my name, you idiot!"

Hah. Yes. I'm always happier with people who've chosen names like Theresamiz instead of Theresa, because then I can google them and get more of their stuff.

I did a search for Allison Skye, someone out there has a cute little girl named that....you find her info after all my Smallville slash.
