Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My breakfast, just now: the rest of last night's pizza.

The food conversations leave me blinking in bafflement. Half the stuff you all talk about, I've never even heard of. What's Bourdain? I'm such a hillbilly.

Our wings are not tired.

Last night's pizza - always best breakfast evah.

I have been eating oatmeal every morning so this morning I had Reese's something or other cereal. It was ok, but not as yum as I had anticipated.

Because books.

What's Bourdain? I'm such a hillbilly.

Anthony Bourdain, chef. He wrote Kitchen Confidential and has a show on the Travel Channel where he goes around the world checking out cuisine -- I can't remember the name of it.

He's awesome -- a total foodie with a mouth like a longshoreman and a real rocker sensibility about life.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Also, he can write well, too.

Me, in culinary matters, I made some pancakes after getting back from the grocery store, and have just put my duvet into the washer, since that's a major project....

Hee. I thought a Bourdain was some fancy French pastry or something.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And he's the guy doing the critiques of Food Network people in the link above.

AmyLiz! How much snow did you get? I keep seeing pictures of huge snowbanks and have been thinking about you and yours.

Because books.

I just read this morning that Fulton has had 123 inches this season, with 50 inches since Jan. 29. Yikes. I seriously underestimated.

But that's nothing, really -- north of us in Oswego County they've had something like nine feet. ::faints::

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Wow, February is shaping up to be a good month for me. I just got off the phone with my brother and he's engaged! My sister and I met her at Thanksgiving and just loved her. I am so happy for him!

Our wings are not tired.

Nine feet - Whoa! We had that kind of snow when I was growing up in Utica, but they haven't seen that much in decades.

Yay for the new SIL megan!
