Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Mind the gap.

It's a thing.

Was asked on a bizzare 'date' tonight, but am resting up for 12 hours of black belt training this weekend instead.

Plus I'm having a migraine.

I definitely use my eyes like a canvas, but I only pretty much work in monochrome when I'm drawing, so I can't imagine what I'd do with eye makeup not basically in the beige->brown palette, or black. I just shade my eyelids to make my eyes look more prominent, as if I were drawing someone.

I fucking can't please myself with eyeliner. I've given up.

Plus, they say either the eyes or the lips should be strong. My lips are already damned big, but I just can't resist the shades of blood colours. And now I've found out which tubes to combine to get my version of fire engine red, and a nail polish to match, it's definitely strong lips any time I bother with night time makeup these days.

Thing is, it doesn't look tasty.

Lipstick is my pain in the ass. Everytime I find one I like, it eventually gets discontinued. I've ended up tending towards ones that are just only teeny bit darker (and more even, duh) than my natural color, but again...laziness. What's weird to me is the brownish brick color I wore for years...looks wrong now. Don't know if my judgement or what has changed. Hell, I used to wear revlon's...um...black cherry for years and it looks fine in photos, but now? NO. Plus, revlon's fomulation tastes and smells funny/annoying to me now.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Plei, I need to thank you for recommending wet'n'wild liquid eyeliner

And I, in turn, need to thank Allyson. I love the stuff.

I've never been able to get the smoky eye thing right.

Part of the trick is to do most of the smoky part with a lighter shade of shadow than you'd think you'd be using, and to smudge the crap out of your liner. Q-Tips work well for that.

Allyson's eyes were what prompted me to return to liquid. I just remembered your recs in particular.

I really should just subject myself to a makeup counter (especially since it appears my drugstore powder of choice has been discontinued, I really liked it and have only one compact left,) but I'm so DIY, it's haaaaarrrrrrdddd.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Mind the gap.

OMG, nothing was funnier than that when I was in London at 19.

What's your drugstore powder?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I love WNW liquid eyeliner. And their concealer.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

Hi!

Eyeliner is tricky, frustrating, and fun.

I passed out in a nap this afternoon during prime productivity hours. I now have a headache, and feel a vague urge to go to The Grove to visit the Genius Bar at Apple. Anyone wanna go with me?

What are you doing at the Genius Bar, Alibelle?
