I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am pro-jammies, as always.

Tivo says Stephen Fry and Alex Winter were both in Bones last night, Frank. I haven't watched it yet, so I don't know which characters were who.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Interesting bit in the Times about female basketball players (in college): [link]

It's actually about the women's weights, and how we publicize male athletes' weights all the time but tend not to for women, but mostly I was focussed on the part where there are so many women who are like 6'7", 6'9"! When I was in college, in the Kara Wolters/Rebecca Lobo era, 6'6" was considered rare. Where are all these tall people appearing from! Tallonia, clearly!

(Also, I think the whole weighing thing is a little bit nonsense, because, looking at pro players' weights, I can tell you right now that 80% of baseball players completely lie about their weight. For a while, the question on the Red Sox' data was, Which one of these men who claims he weighs 230 is lying the most?)

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

BONES: I was half expecting it to turn out that Fry wasn't really his shrink a la the Tish Magiv (sp?) when he kept having Booth do random tasks for him. I've clearly watched too much Angel.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Frank, I definitely had similar thoughts.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

The Bad

  • Spanky Wanky has filled me with acute rage again.

The Good

  • Spanky Wanky has filled me with the needed acute rage to write a TBTK.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

What is a TBTK?

Yeah, it's pretty bad when even Warren Ellis is basically calling you a dick.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I can't believe Bubba Paris named his kids Ashley and Courtney.

I guess there are a lot of Ashley and Courtney's around now, huh? All those eighties born kids are in college.

The new KFC - Korean Fried Chicken.

Gotta get me some of that.
