Zoe: Preacher, don't the Bible have some pretty specific things to say about killing? Book: Quite specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

There should definitely be a "cold day" option. It is way too cold to go to class today.

There is. In some states, anyway. When I lived in MN we had cold days more than snow days (and watching Daniel's posts on weather explains why; I lived about 10 minutes from where Daniel lives). First time it happened (mom was a teacher at my school), we got to a very empty school, and mom was like, what is going on? The secretary was all, "It's too cold to make the kids stand out and wait for the buses, so there is no school today." Mom was like, "????"

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

My friends up in the far north of NH still talk about the involuntary Cold Day that their kids had a few years back -- it got so cold that the diesel fuel in the school buses gelled.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Sadly, I don't think it's cold enough here for a cold day. Even though it's DAMN COLD.

In other news, apparently an actor from Oz and etc., Granville Adams, was charged with accidentally killing someone via elevator shaft -- he shoved the guy against elevator doors, and they opened. [link] Ugh.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

DH keeps asking why I am watching the puppy bowl- then 2 seconds later he can't keep his eyes off it.

Me to Tom: Thanks for watching the PuppyBowl with me.

Tom to me: Oh, that's OK. It's strangely hypnotic. Ooh, that dog has a puffy tail! Here, Puff Puff!

I swear I never understood the crazy screaming girls at Beatles concerts until I saw Prince in concert. I could not stop screaming like a girl. It was kind of embarrassing.

Oh, yeah. I could not stop screaming, singing, jumping, dancing. This also happened at the Pixies concert, though that was more of a rocker flaling, rather than a sexualized frenzy flailing a la Prince.

On the one hand, Superbowl. On the other hand, Prince's Hair.

SO TRUE. Also, So Funny. It was a draw, I think.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Happy Birthday, Victor!

It's very, very cold here, too. Below zero this morning with just about every school in the county cancelling because of the cold.

My neighbor is dogsitting two very large dogs and there was much vocalizing and posturing through the fence this morning between mine and his guests.
