So it rained. Given the way people were driving this morning, they all thought we got half an inch of ice.
My sweater was hung on the wrong hanger so now I have these stupid bumps on my shoulders.
'Not Fade Away'
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

sarameg! Thank god. I was about to declare the thread dead and make the baby Jesus cry.
Huh. Pahrump, NV is a real town. And apparently, it has a casino. It does sound made up, yeah? It's the first place to gamble on the drive in from California, so I've generally known it for about ever. Usually as that god-damned place whoever I am with makes me stop. I'm not a big gambler, does it show? Still, funny name.
I've been up for over 4 hours already. I'm waiting for homeroom to start so I can go make copies. Thesis works continues sporadically. I wish I had a new coat. Instead I have a maple old fashioned doughnut.
I didn't know that Riley Finn was going to be in the Jane Austen Book Club. And speaking of odd derivatives from Jane Austen. May I present the Jane Austen Tarot? Part of me really, really wants it.
Something is wrong when it is only the grumbly unmorning people posting. Maybe a desperate attempt tp stay awake.
t edit: hah! And suddenly morning people!
I nearly got trapped inside Caribou this morning. I had to use all of my body weight to counteract the wind pushing on the outer door.
There are some days staying trapped would be preferable. Haven't come to a conclusion on this one yet.

So I instantly thought of dogs in elk
Something is wrong when it is only the grumbly unmorning people postingsara, you claim to be a nonmorning person, and yet you SO ARE. just face facts.
Actually, the biggest culprit in the media scare was the local TV media, who interrupted all their programming (and in once case went without commercial breaks) to breathlessly give a minute by minute account of the "scare". Because, working here in downtown Boston, mere blocks from some of the Mooninite sites there really wasn't much of a fuss at all.
As far as I'm concerned, we had a pretty good "this is not a test" drill of Boston emergency procedures AND we got somebody else to pay the bill for it. I actually do feel kind of safer.
I am highly disappointed in the lack of snow storm -- it's supposed to rain here later. NOT COOL.
Also I am disappointed in the fact that it's been taking me an hour or more to get to work all week. It's a 45 minute commute! OK, maybe 50. But not 65, for crying out loud!!
And I have a lot of work to do and no motivation to do it. Ah well.
