Simon: Captain... why did you come back for us? Mal: You're on my crew. Simon: Yeah, but you don't even like me. Why'd you come back? Mal: You're on my crew. Why we still talking about this?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Sure, gainfully employed people, get your rest.

Glad the coffee is doing its job, ita.

So, there's all kind of talk this morning about the "generational gap" regarding the Aqua Teen Hunger Force ads. I guess I still fall into the age range of "understanding" even though I didn't know what they were. So, maybe what I'm about to say is just proving their generation gap arguments.

I think Boston looks like a bunch of idiots. Don't get me wrong. I think Turner did a really stupid thing and should have to pay, but I can't believe it took 9 of these things to get them to figure out what they were. I just...I watched Katie Couric last night, and she said something like, "These things have been in seen in nine other cities without incident," I just thought, "Oh, great. We look like big idiots."

On the other hand, I'm impressed with the police, etc. that responded. They took it seriously and responded quickly. It's good to know that if something actually happened, they would be on top of it.

Ack, I thought it was tomorrow. Happy birthday Olivia! (Also, this means my nephew's birthday is on Sunday. Must buy present!)

I fucked something up seriously yesterday. Luckily the internet PTB at work have the power of the Restore Directory Gods, but I m rilly stupid. Today I will beat myself up all day while doing the thing I assumed had been done 2 years ago (only moving our MOST USED PAGES into the CMS).

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Happy Olivia's Birthday, Cashmere!

About Top Chef, I thought it was interesting that they basically said Marcel probably has more potential, but Ilan was further along right now.

Oh, that's interesting -- the TV just told me that Tim Gunn is going to work for Liz Claiborne. I figured he would just try to make a go of it as a TV Personality.

Well, except for the fact that they were first spotted here two weeks ago, so if they had been a real threat, they probably would have done their business already. Of course, it sounds like the people who spotted them two weeks ago knew the characters, which is why they didn't get reported then.

I managed to avoid the details of the stunt after hearing about the initial rumpus, so it was a bit of shock to look at the front cover of the Globe and see a lite-brite mooninite giving me the finger. I think my exact words (spoken out loud on a crowded commuter train) were "you've gotta be shittin' me!"

Well, yes. And, if they would have done a quick search on the internet, they would have found pictures that would eased their fears.

Oh, well. Can't change it now.
