Art Crawl!!!

My back is not being nice to me. (It's been a little touchy since approximately Friday but today - very ouchy.) I have taken a muscle relaxant and am hoping for the best.

It's rare for me to not go back to bed and sleep to an appallingly late hour on the weekends. OTOH, I tend to stay up appallingly late, so I'm sure that's part of it.

Of course, since I have to return to rest-of-the-world's schedule sunday night, it means sundays are kind of a waste.

Yep, me too. Remembering to go to bed =hard.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am only a casual watcher of tennis and Tivoed the Mne's Final to watch this morning. That was some fantastic tennis.

I don't know if Gonzo fell apart or Federer just relaxed like whatsername said and hit his stride. Some of those points were just amazing on both sides of the net.

I had to reschedule today's tea b/c DH and I both have unhappy tummies, probably from eating too much yesterday - eggs benedict and then chicken and rice, and later more chicken and rice and then chocolate cake. Was pleasantly satiated yesterday, but it's not so pleasant today. Ugh. I hope it's just too much food and not something evil happening to the chicken while the power was out.

I hope the Tea Parlor doesn't hold it against me. The woman handling reservations sounded put out.

The woman handling reservations sounded put out.

She may not realize it, but better put out than puked on!

Hope you feel better soon.

Art Crawl!!!

Theodosia: I am slowly, slowly watching that Knitting cartoon. (I'm on dial-up so I pause, wait 'til a good amount is downloaded, watch, pause, etc.)

I'm totally going to send it to people.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I think I"m a natural teacher. Although that could just be a polite way of saying "BOSSY CONTROL FREAK KNOW-IT-ALL."

Erin, may I tag? LOVE.

Sure, Kristin. Just...um...change the qmark to an apostrophe? Kthx!

Thanks, sarameg. I figured discretion is the better part of cancellation and didn't offer any reason - if they give me any attitude on the rescheduled date I will explain enough to elicit pity.

Eta: I am, apparently, Hal Clement. I guess I should read him, then.

Our wings are not tired.

Not a big tennis watcher. When I notice it's on I'll watch. I like it, but don't think to schedule it. Apparently they are playing in Delray Beach now through the 4th. The stadium is about a mile from the house so I notice when the blimp is flying around. Also, every blank spot of land is paid parking for a couple weeks. I may have to try and catch some coverage to see if they show any of my pretty city.

Working, working, and more working today. Blah.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Thanks for the congrats, people. It took me awhile to catch up here.

Knowing I'm going to have a son somehow makes it much more real. (Not in the sense that having a daughter would be any different, but rather being able to call the baby something other than "it" makes a big difference in perception.)
