Can't drink, smoke, diddle my willy. Doesn't leave much to do other than watch you blokes stumble around playing Agatha Christie.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I think I"m a natural teacher. Although that could just be a polite way of saying "BOSSY CONTROL FREAK KNOW-IT-ALL."

Erin, may I tag? LOVE.

Sure, Kristin. Just...um...change the qmark to an apostrophe? Kthx!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Thanks, sarameg. I figured discretion is the better part of cancellation and didn't offer any reason - if they give me any attitude on the rescheduled date I will explain enough to elicit pity.

Eta: I am, apparently, Hal Clement. I guess I should read him, then.

Our wings are not tired.

Not a big tennis watcher. When I notice it's on I'll watch. I like it, but don't think to schedule it. Apparently they are playing in Delray Beach now through the 4th. The stadium is about a mile from the house so I notice when the blimp is flying around. Also, every blank spot of land is paid parking for a couple weeks. I may have to try and catch some coverage to see if they show any of my pretty city.

Working, working, and more working today. Blah.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Thanks for the congrats, people. It took me awhile to catch up here.

Knowing I'm going to have a son somehow makes it much more real. (Not in the sense that having a daughter would be any different, but rather being able to call the baby something other than "it" makes a big difference in perception.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Sara, why do you have multiple SS cards?

I went into the city to try to return two pairs of pants I ordered online but I didn't have the paperwork for one of them, so I brought them back home. Bah. At least along the way I had a delicious pulled pork sandwich (North Carolina style) and bought a few books. And I did return one pair, but they were only $15 anyway, so not a huge deal to get the money back.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I'm Stanislav Lem. Now to find out what he's written.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Since Zen asked, the fuh-reaky toy.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

That is the freakiest toy EVER. Perfect for, say, John Waters, but not so much for Matilda.
