Erin! I *knew* there had to be a benefit to working on a weekend night!

How are you doing? How is the teaching going?

It's really great -- I love it. I have a great job, and it's wonderful. Right now, things are pretty good, other than I popped up a cold sore last night and my apartment is messier than Hell's foyer, but that's kind of normal for me.

How about you, sweetie?

Deep, deep in the bowels of Nikita fandom. No sane person ventures there willingly.

I agree with Dana. You really don't want to read the Nikita wank. I don't know that you can really appreciate it without the full history of the fandom behind it. And as such a person, I have described reading it as involuntary bukkake.

Oh, Erin - I'm glad to read that teaching works out for you. It can be so difficult, especially in the first years.

I hope you feel better, though. The apartment can stay mess-y, as far as I'm concerned. Health comes first.

As for me, other than taking a bit too much this semester (I added a class to teach mid-semester because they had to replace the lecturer), and the deadline for tomorrow (some research grant proposal, lots of bureaucracy and the like), things are OK.

OH, just a cold sore. More annoying than dehabilitating.

I think I"m a natural teacher. Although that could just be a polite way of saying "BOSSY CONTROL FREAK KNOW-IT-ALL."

Hee.

Well, at least you use your qualities to the advantages of the youth and for the greater good, so who can complain?

My students?

Won't they complain anyway?

Oh, yes. It is the natural state of the student. If they didn't complain, I'd be checking their houses for some serious alien pod action.
