It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to figure out how to organize the top of my desk, and I think the Desk Apprentice may be just the thing!

Hell yeah!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's totally all your fault, bon. But I'm afraid my ghetto printer used up all my office supply budget. Also, the height might still be a problem. I just grabbed a file holder so as not to have a pile of folders, but I think I actually like the pile better. Eh.

And I didn't know Sarah Paulson was A Gay!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I still have a visit to the Container Store coming up which will solve my desk and filing problems, yes it will.

I wish I could work out why Sarah Paulson looks so familiar--her IMDB listing isn't ringing any bells.

Okay, off back to the twitch factory.

Well, her GF Cherry Jones outed her, I thought.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

why Sarah Paulson looks so familiar

The first time I saw her I thought is was Julie Benz. I think it's something about her mouth. Once I looked closer there was very little similarity.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Sarah Paulson used to be engaged to a friend of ours, before she became A Gay. Of course I would become A Gay for Cherry Jones, so I completely understand.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Her girlfriend is Cherry Jones? That's awesome, just because Cherry Jones is so awesome.

It's very large. But it pretty much holds everything I used to need to have on my desk, so I'm better off.

In the book Getting Things Done, one of the things David Allen points out that I think is true is that organization will happen if it is as easy as possible-- get a label maker so you can read the labels, make as many files as you like (including files that have only one piece of paper, as long as you know where to get that paper you're better off), and only fill your filing cabinet 3/4 full so that it is not bulging (a command I need to get on top of right now). So you should do whatever makes filing easiest, where it doesn't seem like a chore to file and find paper.

Yeah, I'm one of those straight folks that don't get it, I have to admit.

While I am all "Right on!" that Lance Bass is getting him some man-lovin' these days, I don't actually think it's any of my business.

Swouncing

In some more whiny unrelated to ongoing conversations meMeME posting, I'm trying to combine references to a bibliography from (counts on fingers) 6 differrent files. Some of them, despite my repeared requests, are written in a completely different format, so I have to go back to the original text and edit that, as well.

I think I need one of those "what's the strangest ice cream you've ever had?" or "which tv characters do you want to go on a blind date with?" or "what's your favorite book to cuddle up with and re-read?" questions, only, well, fun. And having nothing to do with any sort of "will I get to have some sleep tonight?".

Oh, and apparently one of the people collaborating with us on this grant has an algorithm they call FCM. I have to keep being careful not to write it as CFM.
