Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

If you're confused as to what the "margin of error" is in a survey, here is an excellent explanation: [link]

I studied this in college (being an Actuary Science major and all) but this was a good refresher for me. It's not too terribly technical. The article ends with a description of the way the popular media misrepresents what the "margin of error" is in a survey. Spoiler: They almost never get it right.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

OK, I'm driving myself crazy trying to figure out how I pronounce words. And I just called my mom to ask her how she pronounces some words, and now she's annoyed at me for making her drive herself crazy trying to figure out how she pronounces words. (The way I say them, quarter, water, and daughter rhyme -- all of them with an "aw" sound in the first syllable. She's got the "aw" sound in daughter, but "ah" in quarter and water. When I was in college, everyone from outside the Northeast thought I was very weird for not pronouncing the first "r" in "quarter.")

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Where'd everyone go? I wanted to tie up a minor!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

you don't need us for that.

She needs a minor. She's kind of all out since Holli, SA and Lizard reached their majority.

I'm in the mood to duct tape my children, but that is a bit different that what ita was looking for. I think. Dang kids.

DH is asking what I want for my birthday and I have no idea what to say. Nothing is coming to mind and we can't afford to go anywhere.

I know how to defend tacklehugs now. It's on the black belt test.

Off to teach! I'll find a minor there, for sure.
