Do you have zero interest? Or LESS than zero interest?
I feel physics-ly obligated to point out that even less than zero is still a number, with a size and everything. Yes, it's not in the direction considered usual, or boss-ly-desired, but still, it's there.
In physics you can say that the smallest amount of energy (actually, energy times time, so it even takes into acount the procrastination!) you can talk about is measured by Planck's constant. You can't have less than that. Even if your job is really really boring. Even if you're posting about it. It's in the laws of the universe. The universe forces us to have some sort of minimal interest, no matter what we want. There should be something there about free will, though, right?
Either that, or I should really be asleep. Hmm.
I'm making up non-work stuff to do, so I don't actually fall asleep here at my desk. Did I stay up late last night? No I did not.
I would, too. But that sounds like a job to me.
Exactly this, which is why that post was so short.

Heh. I once knew something about Planck's constant, but that was many years ago. Actually, it's like earlier today, I walked past my boss's office, and she was listening to a voicemail on speaker, and it was from someone I worked with at a past job -- kind of weird and disorienting.
Huh. The Tunguska Event is fascinating. I don't remember hearing about it before.
Among this crowd? How is that even possible?
Planck's constant
I'm sure Mrs. Planck is glad to hear it.

No kidding. On the anniversary, Joe puts a lamp on his head and runs around kicking down trees in the next town over.

OK, this is like bizarro day. I'm supposed to be the person who hasn't heard of these things due to my strange academic upbringing and suspicion of the humans.
That's twice today. It's kind of scaring me.
Now if shrift turns up sunny and perky and bursting with bubbly energy, I'll know I did, in fact, stay in bed today and this has all been a strange and traumatic dream.

Clearly I need to hang out with Miracleman on this anniversary, or read more whackaloon biographies of Tesla.

Huh. There's even an X-Files episode about it. There's even a band called The Tunguska Event.
