Sorry, Captain. I'm real sorry. I shoulda kept better care of her. Usually she lets me know when something's wrong. Maybe she did, I just wasn't paying attention...

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

And what the heck is a blue hawaiian cupcake?

That's what happens when Don Ho puts his cupcake in the freezer?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

lalala, I can't hear Kat.

I am drinking a very large cup of coffee, and trying to convince myself to listen to my work voicemail.

I'm having a very large cup of coffee and trying to convince myself not to go back to bed.

Seriously, I have so little to taunt about these days except for food!

Happy Pie Day!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My boss is out sick, and most of the senior staff (the people I need to approve my work at every step) are out of the office. I totally should have gone back to bed, although today is not a bad day, so far.

I feel very out of touch with movies this year. The only nominated movie I've seen is Little Miss Sunshine.

I've seen that, The Departed, and The Devil Wears Prada, among movies with major nominations. I think that's it.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Incontinence with polyps, I think, shrift.

tommyrot, heh. I have a book of Elizabethan jests that's far, far worse. I'd post one just to prove it, but (a) they're all three-page-long shaggy dog stories, and (b) I really don't want to be MARCIE'd by the entire board.

The National Pie Council picked the WRONG DAY for pie day! It should be March 14!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm having Banana Tea Bread from Rosie's Bakery. This almost but not quite makes up for losing my iTunes library at home due to an external hard drive crash, and waiting for the bus for 20 minutes in freezing snow.

Okay, not even "quite making up" but it soothes a little bit.

Why March 14th?

There's a truck parked right outside our building that's doing some work on the septic system. It's quite loud - it sounds like a jet engine running inside a toilet.
