There's a truck parked right outside our building that's doing some work on the septic system. It's quite loud - it sounds like a jet engine running inside a toilet.

Today is pie day? Oy!
One of my soon-to-be former coworkers brought a homemade apple pie into the office on Friday, sort of a farewell. It was really nice of him (he made it himself, including the crust), and it was great pie.
I'm going to miss these people.
Okay. Have listened to voicemail. No ponies on offer. Will continue to drink very large cup of coffee while troubleshooting.
I hope that by the time I reach the bottom of this coffee cup, I will be capable of speaking in a manner that does not resemble a morose drunk on painkillers.
Why March 14th?

Daaaamn. I just finished the gigantor cup of coffee, and feel no appreciable difference. Caffeine, why have you forsaken me?
3.14It even took me a minute to get that. Switching to half-caf coffee is not without a price.

Oh.
D'uh.
This maybe belongs in Movies, but has anyone read about the 'Hounddog' kerfuffle? The only article I could find that I could bring myself to link to is in Variety.
Are you fucking KIDDING me with this? It's a MOVIE, people.
I think that this was my "favorite" line --
Donahue said he knows he could watch a DVD copy of the film ("they're making it available to social conservatives"), but he said he's not interested: "If someone tells me that there's a statue of Martin Luther King with an erection receiving oral sex, I don't need to see it."
I read about that in, uh. Um. Oh, Premiere magazine.
Okay. I just scraped together all of my active brain cells in order to have a mostly coherent telephone conversation. Now don't I expect none of my sentences make sense to for the rest of today.
