Compassionately intolerant

I took a nap today with Bartleby curled up inside the hollow my side-sleeping created. Not much better than waking up, lifting my head slightly and seeing drowsy pooch-snoot peeking up inquiringly. Are we done sleeping now? Gosh that was fun. Wanna play ball to get the 'ol juices moving again? Any snacks around? And? I love you the most."

Yep. I had cats all my life growing up...and love all my friends' pusses, but pooch snoot makes my heart sing these days.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Apparently Isaiah Washington just fired his publicist. Yeah, because that's where the problem lies.

I hear Lee Anne DeVette is looking for work!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

A cat demands that you be strong enough to cope with a creature who loves you on its own terms.

Eh. You can ignore a cat just as well as you can ignore a dog. But y'all keep your pets indoors.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Amazingly, the traffic going to work wasn't bad at all.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am home and self-medicating with mac-n-cheese and Food Network Challenge. Next is hot cocoa with Bailey's.

I am okay today. Despite some potentially weird job search news, not depressed.

And I got a krav instructor shirt! They're hard to come by, and I've been whining for a while. I stopped by our other location after lunch and the head guy there gave me the one off his back.

He's a doll, even if he thinks I'm a lunatic.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Synchronicity strikes again: a good friend of mine has been investigating (and reporting back) on Chinese Crested Powderpuffs. It turns out that they bear a very similar relationship to the hairless variety of the breed that Manx cats with tails bear to the tailless kind: the dominant gene (for hairlessness in their case) is deadly when you have two of them, so you hardly ever mate hairless to hairless; you'll get more live happy puppies if you hook up hairless to powderpuff or two powderpuffs.

Oh, and the hairless gene also seems to screw up the dog's teeth, many of those dogs have missing molars and such. Weird or what?

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I am waiting for Peapod to get here so I can... uh, eat something and go to bed.

I don't care if that's lame.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I don't care if that's lame.

What happened to sake and comic books? You lame-o.

OK, I just turned on the tv and there was Heroes! Except it isn't supposed to be on until 9! Except I think it was a brief. Or extra. Or something.
