DIY Portable Thought Bubble
Ever want to know what your friends are thinking? What about the thoughts of cats and dogs and trees? They have to be thinking of something and now you have a chance to find out with the Portable Thought Bubble.
You've seen thought bubbles in action in comic strips and comic books and other comical environs, but now they can be anywhere you want them to be. So go and unleash the power of the mind.
tommyrot, I tried that. (The Rasterbator, not the thought bubble!) The thing I discovered is that it's probably a good idea to choose an image that has a lot of contrasting color, and is pretty simple. I printed a picture that had some similar colors and it didn't have quite the clarity I was hoping for, just ended up a bit of a blue blob.
Perhaps a radical interpretation of the text, but still interesting: R2D2: Secret leader of the rebellion
For the next 20 years, as far as 3PO knows, he is the property of Captain Antilles, doing protocol duties on a diplomatic transport. He is vaguely aware of the existence of the princess but doesn't know much about her. Wherever 3PO goes, being as loud and obvious as he always is, his unobtrusive little counterpart goes with him. 3PO is R2's front man. Wherever they land, R2 is passing messages between rebel sympathisers and sizing up governments as potential rebel recruits - both by personal contact and by hacking into their networks. He passes his recommendations on to Organa.
My breakfast today so far has been a cup of Irish breakfast tea. But it's imported! And with sugar and cream! So that counts, right?
But it doesn't matter, because it's a SNOW DAY! And I can make breakfast at 11:00 if I want to, because I don't have to go to work!
The school we're at this week is a boarding school, and some of the kids live way the heck out there, so they couldn't run the bus to pick them up this weekend. And we've got quite a bit already and there's another 3-6 inches still predicted. So it's possible we'll have SNOW WEEK! (eta: Okay, we called in and they're picking up today. So we'll go tomorrow. I better enjoy today!)
I am drinking tea and enjoying the fire and playing with the dog and getting housework done and not getting out of my pajamas all day!
I kinda want to write to old navy and ask if they are on crack when it comes to sizing?
Not just women's clothes. The other day I tried on a pair of 32 inseam khakis I got as a Christmas exchange, and while the waist was accurate the hems of my pants legs were getting caught under my heels and scuffed up. I'm pretty sure I'd have noticed losing 2 or 3 inches off my legs recently.
I'm thinking about making Portuguese green kale soup with chourizo tonight.
Apropos of nothing. I'm just thinking about it, and I think everyone else should be thinking about it, too!
In further gimlet news (I, uh, don't shop at Old Navy), the bartender was positively defiant about not using Rose's.
It's early yet, but I'm leaning towards the conclusion that LA is not a Rose's syrup gimlet place.
I think it is time for bacon and more caffeine, since I still feel a little like choking a bitch.
so unmotivated to do work AND yet, so much work.
OMG, so glad I'm not the only one who thinks ON is on crack. I bought a pair of jeans that fit so beautifully, they were my one true pair.
So I ordered another pair (same size, same waist, just a different WASH) and they fit completely differently. As in, kind of uncomfortably tight. Bastards.
