I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

Lee, if you're around, I'm loving the humidifier.

what kind of humidifier? ever since i've had to turn on my baseboard heater in my room, i've had a headache every day and i think it has everything to do with it. i've tried cheap-o humidifiers and they just don't help.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Heh. Apparently not all dogs puke when they see the Bible: [link]

(Though I think this one might be getting sworn in for jury duty.)

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I love dozing in front of tennis. The squeaks and the calls are like a lullaby. Some strange version of "You're safe now. Close your eyes."
Golf (no idea, I neither play it nor like it) and racing are like that for me. The racing I understand because Formula One races start at ten to five in the morning and I used to hear my vcr click on so I would pretend to start to watch it while really just going right back to sleep with the zooming. And I spent a lot of time at the track. Sometimes you just want a nap.

Bother. I have made a nice dinner for myself. Opened nice wine. And am potentially too nauseated to eat. Which? I bought more ginger juice today but I was hoping it would become something fun to use and no longer be medicinal. Grrr. Want my dinner.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I was TiVoing it, but we had to stop the recording, because we want to catch BSG at 10, and Scott is watching the football game.

Our PBS station replays MT in the wee hours, so I record then.

Ugh. Game's too close. It's painful.

What is even happening?

I can't watch. I don't care all that much about the Pats, but if I watch the game, I still pick up the tension. I'm tense just listening to Scott watch.

Time to turn up Etta James', "At Last."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I can't watch. I don't care all that much about the Pats, but if I watch the game, I still pick up the tension.

Yeah, I thought I would flip over to it, but I think this might be me.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

It's a lot easier to watch a football game when you don't care about the outcome.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's a Ventasonic, tiggy. Gives a very fine mist, and makes no noise except for the odd water burble. Has settings for humidity, power/spray (dunno), and for warming the mist.

Okay, somewhere here (I swear) I saw a picture of a kitten that looked all snarly and "I'ma cut you, bitch" but I have no idea how it was described and my foray into threadsucking turned up nothing.

I know, I know, I'm searching for kitten pictures. But it's not for me, honest.

What is even happening?

Jesse, if it helps, the last I heard from the other room (as I was reading your comment) was, "No, No, NO! NOOOOOOOO!"

Now I'm hearing, "Get 'im. Get 'im. Oh, you sonnofabitch."

Now nothing.

Now Etta.
