Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My heart keeps...keeps doing this thing. I wonder if this is what having your heart in your mouth is supposed to feel like. But it's not in my mouth. It's just halfway up my oesophagus doing an extra big thump.

Have you ever been checked for mitral valve prolapse?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Have you ever been checked for mitral valve prolapse?

I've had what was supposed to be a full heart workup about six months ago, but who knows what full means. There was stress testing and rig wearing and PFO detection.

Off to wikipedia to look up the prolapse. Mitral valve prolapse, I mean. Prolapse alone makes me think of uterus prolapse, which makes me shiver.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Uterine prolapse is shudder worthy.

Is too early. Don't WANT to go to school. Nor do I want to be late so I best get going soon.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Lee, my #1 recommendation, Scrapona Moscato d'Asti generally runs less than $20 a bottle. The 2002 vintage was the best wine I've ever had (bearing in mind I've never drunk the super-expensive stuff), but I don't think it's available any more.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Locally I usually get Gloria Ferrer for a good champagne in that range, Lee. Or Roederer's.

but as we paused he noticed the back of my hand, and spoke glowingly of the obvious health of my veins, which are all protrudy and blue. Said he'd volunteer any time to run an IV for me.

My ex the medical student used to do that. "I could get a fourteen gauge needle in there..."

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Thanks for all the recs, guys.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

That

halfway up my oesophagus doing an extra big thump
heart thing happens to me a lot, too, ita. If you find out what it is, let me know, 'k? I had an echocardiogram a couple years ago and they found nothing wrong, so I guess it's okay, whatever it is.

Heart stuff freaks me out.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, no shit. My sister told me last night that an old friend, who's in his early 30s, was in hospital recently for some heart issue. While there, he threw a clot, and to prevent it happening again [whitefonted for freakiness] they amputated his leg. Fucking fuck fuck.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm a huge fan of sparkling Riesling, if you can find it. I think the last bottle I bought was at or around $30.
