Is it just me, or did Ugly Betty jump the shark last night?
Very possibly, yeah.
I mean, I knew there had to be a reason that,
a few episodes back they suddenly introduced the heretofore un-mentioned dead brother.
I just didn't think that THIS was the reason.
And I can't stop thinking of Daniel's father as Caleb from The O.C.
"That" is used for identifying information.
Hil, bless you for the great burst of illumination your little paragraph gave me. The rest of the discussion only provided obfuscation.
Is it just me, or did Ugly Betty jump the shark last night?
I didn't think so, cause it fits with the wacky over-the-topness of telenovelas, which they often mock while still being from that same mold.
Is it just me, or did Ugly Betty jump the shark last night?
Already? I heard it was really good. Though I guess that depends on how you view the OMG ending or whatever it was.
I loved all the interaction between Daniel and Betty. And I always love Wilhelmina. And Marc. But the ending just made my eyes roll right out of my head and down the elevator shaft. I am now eyeless. You may call me Adam Strange.
t /DC comics TOTAL dork
I just didn't think that THIS was the reason.
Heh. I didn't even think of that as the reason for jumping the shark. I burst out laughing at that part. I was thinking more that
the relationship between Betty and Daniel was getting way too close to romantic.
I don't know, DJ, are you talking about witholding or filing?
Hil, that's funny -- my shark-jumping moment was something you liked, and your maybe-shark-jumping moment was something that I liked.
Okay, maybe it didn't jump, but there's a damn fin in the water.
With apologies if this has been discussed, has anyone read "The Physics of the Buffyverse" by Jennifer Ouellette? Is she a Buffista?
It's a new popular-science book that uses Buffyverse things and events to riff on science facts, like comparing the Gnarl demon that flayed Willow with puffer fish and other neuro-toxin-wielding critters, or using Pylea to talk about worm-holes.
I'm enjoying the book and wanted to plug it. If the author is a Buffista - thanks, Jen! Good book!
Filing. On the form it asks if you're filing as single, married, or married, but you want them to withold as if you were single. A friend's husband claimed her as a dependant, and she doesn't want them to end up owing.
Now I can't decide if I'm scared or eager to watch Ugly Betty tonight. Oh, and everyone should go to [link] and possibly buy things there.
I knew there was a reason I liked Jesse.
Aw.
