yep. Guerra is Spanish for war and "illa" is one of many diminutives. When I read that it seemed so obvious, given that I knew, like sarameg, the word before I could read it. But the word guerrilla is much older than the central american messes and actually was first used in English papers during the Spanish-American War.

My other weird image word was euthanasia. Led to some serious misunderstandings/ equate-ions of China's one-child policy when I was wee. Crazy quakers, trying to make small children socially aware. Can lead to some really bad images.
