My other weird image word was euthanasia. Led to some serious misunderstandings/ equate-ions of China's one-child policy when I was wee. Crazy quakers, trying to make small children socially aware. Can lead to some really bad images.

yes. crying fit at dinner because he didn't want what was made. stuff he has eaten before mind you. so that pushed back the evening schedule by half an hour which means bath and stories were rushed and he was mad.

That sound an awfully like...a kid. Sorry, I'm not trying to be awful, I'm just so glad he's comfy enough to be a pill in a pushing buttons sense (I did fret about that.) It certainly doesn't make it any less exasperating and exhausting.

Heh. That sucks so much. I've had many such meals with Emmett when he was Mac's age.
Emmett: "I hate macaroni and cheese"
Me: "What? Last week you told me it was your favorite?!"
Emmett: "Nuh uh! I never liked it. Can we have pizza?"
Me: "I'm not going to throw out the mac and cheese after I made it."
Emmett: "I'm not eating it!"
Usually I just let him eat toast at that point. "I'm not making a whole 'nother dinner. You can have toast or cereal if you don't want this."
